Codespot launches the Partner Program dedicated for OEMs and ODMs based on its in-house AndroidTV solution, named DotTV.
What is the Partner Program for OEMs & ODMs?
Partner Program is the licensing and engagement program targeted to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) of AndroidTV devices that helps them to provide turnkey - software + hardware Android TV operator tier experience and market those solutions to pay-TV and video service operators.
DotTV App
As part of the Program, Partner gets the rights to embed DotTV App into Partner’s device and distribute it to its customers, such as pay-TV and video service operators - Multi System Operators (MSOs). The App provides essential video discovery and consumption functionality and significantly shortens the time to market and integration effort for AndroidTV projects. About DotTV - Codespot’s Android TV solution
DotTV enables the deployment of a mix of traditional video services - such as Linear TV, video on demand, and more modern features like Catch-up TV and short video clip channels. It runs on retail off-the-shelf Android-based connected TVs and streaming devices, as well as on dedicated set-top boxes, including operator-tier Google-certified Android TV platforms, allowing easy access to top-tier third-party video streaming services. The platform supports versatile network deployment scenarios, including OTT or closed operator network rollouts, and hybrid digital video broadcasting/internet protocol (DVB/IP) installations.
