We are thrilled to announce that Polish cable operator TOYA has initiated the rollout of MAXX 4K - a new hybrid DVB/IP AndroidTV Set-top Boxes, incorporating Codespot’s innovative dotTV application. This marks a significant step in enhancing the viewer experience, blending traditional and modern viewing seamlessly.
Codespot’s white-labeled dotTV app stands at the core of this transformation, offering TOYA's subscribers enhanced content discovery options and a comprehensive video package. This includes linear TV, catchup TV, and a wide array of video-on-demand options. What makes this platform unique is its integration with the AndroidTV platform, providing additional features like voice search, access to the app store, and various premium streaming applications.
This deployment goes across a true hybrid network, where video delivery is optimized through cable broadcast (DVB-C), IPTV (multicast), and Over-the-top (OTT) methods. The introduction of this advanced platform is set to gradually replace TOYA’s existing 3G Linux-based hybrid DVB/IP Set-top Boxes.
Jacek Kobierzycki, CEO of TOYA, expressed his enthusiasm about this project:
Thanks to our collaboration with Codespot and the introduction of MAXX 4K, our subscribers now have the opportunity to experience the best of both worlds: the reliability and familiarity of classic TV combined with the innovation and versatility of modern OTT streaming, all presented in a user-friendly and intuitive interface.
Jakub Górski, Co-founder of Codespot also commented on the partnership:
We are delighted to be working with TOYA, who is a beacon for other video service operators in the region. This rollout is a testament to the fact that AndroidTV is now an accessible option for mid-sized operators as well.
